PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device that allows maintenance and checking work etc. in safer conditions. SOLUTION: According to the present invention, the elevator device comprises a camera for photographing the inside of a car, and a means for sending images photographed by the camera to an image display means via fixed-line or radio waves, and the camera can photograph the upper side of the ceiling of the car. Thus, the risk of the operation failure of the camera is reduced while the camera can photograph the conditions inside the car during the regular operation of the elevator and can photograph the conditions on the car during the maintenance and checking work.
