PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone wherein a camera DSP can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The portable telephone includes: an optical lens 1: an image sensor 2; a transmission reception circuit 7; a Base Band CPU 8; the camera DSP 3; and a display section (LCD I/F 4, LCD 5). The Base Band CPU 8 controls the transmission reception circuit 7 and performs an arithmetic operation to determine a setting parameter required in photographing, the camera DSP 3 stores the setting parameter into an AE, AWB register 3a to control a shutter aperture and an image sensor 2 in accordance with the setting parameter, generates an image signal in accordance with an output signal of the image sensor 2 and outputs the image signal to the display section.
