PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition having excellent stability, good spreadability at coating, and suppressed sticky feeling. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains (A) a compound represented by the formula (I): R<SP>1</SP>O-(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>n</SB>-R<SP>2</SP>(I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each different 8-22C linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group; and (n) is an integer of 10-100), (B) an acyllactic acid salt, (C) an oily component and (D) water.
