PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection nozzle which can atomize fuel and which can control a spreading angle of fuel spray, e.g. reducing the fuel spray spreading angle. SOLUTION: A fuel outlet 31d is formed in a valve body 3, and an orifice plate 5 is provided in the valve body 3 to face to the fuel outlet 31d. The orifice plate 5 is formed with an injection ports 52, 53 for injecting fuel from the fuel outlet 31d into a combustion chamber. A guide chamber 4, which guides the fuel flowing through the fuel outlet 31d to the injection ports 52, 53 that are situated more radially outside than the fuel outlet 31d, is provided between the valve body 3 and the orifice plate 5. The orifice plate 5 is formed with protrusions 54, 55 that control a direction of the fuel flowing into the injection ports 52, 53 from the fuel outlet 31d. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
