PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material melting apparatus with which intrusion of oxide etc., or bubbling into a molded product is eliminated by using the minimum quantity of inert gas and further, injection molding can be performed without using a screw.and an injection molding machine with the apparatus installed therein. SOLUTION: In addition to an injection chamber 60 in the injection molding machine 2, a cylindrical body 30 for melting the material 3 is arranged and in a communicating path 50 communicating the bottom part of the cylindrical body 30 with the injection chamber 60 in the injection molding machine 2, a counterflow preventive means 40 for preventing the counterflow of the molten material 4 into the cylindrical body 30 from the injection chamber 60 is disposed. Further, an inert gas supplying means 91 for supplying the inert gas into the inner part of the cylindrical body 30 is arranged. Thus, the material can be melted while restraining the development of the oxide etc., to the minimum.
