ROLLER CUTTER DEVICE AND SHIELD MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller cutter device and a shield machine facilitating the replacement of a roller cutter regardless of the mud pressure of a working face and preventing the partial wear of the roller cutter. SOLUTION: This roller cutter device 5 is provided with the roller cutter 4 mounted in a replaceable manner to the cutter disk 6 of the shield machine 1; a spherical seat 31 with a partially spherical outline for holding the roller cutter 4; a spherical seat holding body 33 stuck to the cutter disk 6 to support the spherical seat 31 rotatably; a rotating mechanism 34 for reversing the spherical seat 31 together with the roller cutter 4; and a mud removing fluid discharging means 38 for discharging a mud removing fluid for removing mud accumulated in a cavity part 41 between the spherical seat 31 and the roller cutter 4. The roller cutter 4 is constituted to be replaceable by reversing the roller cutter 4 together with the spherical seat 31 with respect to the spherical seat holding body 33.
