PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing an audio signal in a monitor is provided to output an audio signal with a high sound quality in which a frequency component is uniform always. CONSTITUTION: An audio signal processing unit(100) adjusts an audio signal according to a request command inputted by a user, amplifies the audio signal at certain times or more, and outputs the amplified audio signal. An audio amplifier(300) re-amplifies the signal amplified in the audio signal processing unit(100), and outputs the re-amplified signal through left and right speakers. A level adjusting unit(200) reduces the signal amplified in the audio signal processing unit(100) at a certain level to be suitable for the input of the audio amplifier(300), and outputs the reduced signal to the audio amplifier(300).
