The cosmetic use of zardaverine (I) (i.e. 6-(4-(difluoromethoxy)-3-methoxyphenyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone) or its salts is claimed as a slimming agent or for preventing and/or combating cellulite or orange-peel skin and/or improving the contours of the face. Independent claims are included for: (1) compositions comprising (I) or its salt in a physiologically acceptable medium; (2) a cosmetic treatment method for preventing and/or combating cellulite and/or orange-peel skin and/or for improving or slimming the silhouette or contours of the face, involving topical application of a composition containing (I) or its salt to the skin; and (3) the use of (I) or its salts for the production of a composition for treating obesity.
