<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt control method for an optical disk recording and playback device in which a signal can be recorded by an optical pickup. <P>SOLUTION: After a signal for adjusting offset is recorded in a trial writing area provided at an inner periphery side of a disk 1 while varying a level of a driving signal for detecting offset supplied to a coil 7 for adjusting tilt, reproduction operation of the signal for adjusting offset is performed, a peak level of a reproduced RF signal is detected, when a signal of which the detected peak level is maximum is recorded, a level of a driving signal supplied to the coil 7 for adjusting tilt is set as an offset value, and tilt control is performed by adding the offset value to a tilt signal performing tilt control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
