PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastomer composition having low hardness and extremely excellent in wear resistance and to provide a method for producing the elastomer composition and to provide a paper feed roller realizing low hardness and good wear resistance, particularly excellent in wear resistance at the time of idle running. SOLUTION: The method for producing the elastomer composition comprises a step for obtaining a thermoplastic resin composition component by kneading a mixed composition (B) of a hydrogenated styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer with an olefin-based resin with a compatibilizer (C) containing at least one of an acid-modified EPDM and an acid-modified hydrogenated styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and a polyamide resin (D) and finely dispersing the polyamide resin (D) into the mixed composition (B) and a step for dynamically crosslinking the thermoplastic resin composition component and a rubber component (A) containing at least one of a diene-based rubber and an EPDM rubber.
