PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform deletion of a section of copy prohibition information without increasing a scale of hardware and extending a time of processing. SOLUTION: The copy prohibition information of an input video signal is detected while recording it and, when decided it is in the zone of copy prohibition information, the section of copy prohibition information from a stream is deleted. Thus, without enlarging the scale of the hardware and extending the time of processing, it becomes possible to delete the section of copy prohibition information from the stream.
