PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timed video recorder capable of easily performing timed video recording of a program which suits a user's taste, by the use of detailed data on the tastes of the user. SOLUTION: A control information recording circuit 17 comprises a past EPG information section 31 for storing electronic program guide (EPG) information data of past program data, a future EPG information section 32 for storing future EPG information data, and an extracted keyword 36 for storing keywords extracted from the EPG information data for the past. A control circuit 14 comprises a keyword extraction portion 25 for extracting keywords from the past EPG information data and storing them in the information section 31, a keyword retrieval portion 26 for retrieving a keyword from the future EPG information data, a keyword coincidence detector 24 for detecting a program whose key word coincides from the future EPG information data, and a program recording controller 22 for performing timed video recording of the program detected by the keyword coincidence detector.
