PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to feel interesting when he manipulates the keys of a portable terminal device. SOLUTION: A CPU 15 extracts melody data corresponding to a phone number inputted by a user through a control input unit 3 or a part of a row of figures representing the phone number from a melody data base 22 in accordance with a melody regenerating program 21, and the extracted melody data are outputted through a melody speaker 18.
