PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet fuel combustion device capable of preventing the intrusion of the flame and a combustion gas into a supply passage for supplying the pellet fuel such as woody pellet to a combustor in a combustion chamber, and an ash tray chamber, preventing the leakage of the combustion gas form the combustion chamber into a room, and burning the pellet fuel in safety. SOLUTION: This combustion device 1 comprises a forced air supplying and exhausting means 60 for supplying the air for combustion into the combustor 3 mounted at a lower part in the combustion chamber 2 and exhausting the combustion gas generated in the combustion of the pellet fuel by the combustor 3 from an exhaust chamber 8 at an upper part of the combustion chamber 2 through an exhaust pipe 9. In combustion, the exhausting amount by an exhausting fan 62b of the air supply and exhausting means 60 is determined to be more than the air supplying amount by an air blasting fan 61b to operate the air supplying and exhausting means in a state of applying negative pressure in the combustion chamber 2.
