PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to acquire parking area information on one's own vehicle from a remote plate while utilizing existing apparatus and infrastructures such as widely spread mobile phones and the Internet. SOLUTION: In response to a parking area information acquisition request signal from a mobile phone, an on-vehicle terminal device uses an RF tag reader to read position information written in an RF tag buried in the road surface of a parking area of the vehicle. The read position information is returned as character information, and thus the parking area is displayed with characters on a display panel of the mobile phone and is informed of.
