<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device selecting a protocol defined at a specified timing and quickly shifting to an arbitrary protocol by receiving a hot reset signal to be input from the outside at the prescribed timing during outputting initial response data relative to a cold reset signal. <P>SOLUTION: An IC card supporting a plurality of protocols, while outputting the initial response data after releasing the cold reset signal, receives a hot reset signal to be input at a specific timing and, when the hot reset signal is released, selects and outputs the initial response data corresponding to the specific timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
