<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunken hearth type electromagnetic heater high in safety even if it is used in a highly airtight residence of a modern house or the like, and easily and immediately usable as a heating appliance or a cooking appliance. <P>SOLUTION: The sunken hearth type electromagnetic heater is equipped with: an electromagnetic heating part having an induction heating function, and a recessed part with its upper part opened; a particulate or powdery insulating granular body stored in the recessed part of the electromagnetic heating part; and an heating element disposed at a desired position of the insulating granular body for generating heat by induction heating of the electromagnetic heating part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
