<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing image quality by suppressing unevenness in the density of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An LED array control section 34 performing driving control of an LED print head 7 comprises a characteristics data storing section 35, a driving current correction data operating section 39, an image processing section 42, a control signal generating section 43, and an image data correction operating section 44. The characteristics data storing section 35 stores a plurality of characteristics data measured previously for individual LED elements constituting an LED array 31. The driving current correction data operating section 39 reads out the characteristics data stored in the characteristics data storing section 35 and calculates driving current correction data P. The image data correction operating section 44 corrects image data delivered from the image processing section 42 using the driving current correction data P delivered from the driving current correction data operating section 39.
