PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a containment 10 of a nuclear facility comprising a dry well 18, a suppression chamber 14, and a generally vertically extending vent pipe 28, the upper end of the vent pipe being connected to the dry well, and the lower end being immersed in coolant 20 in the suppression chamber so as to largely reduce compressive loads imposed on the bottom and wall of the suppression chamber at the occurrence of an accident. SOLUTION: The lower end of the vent pipe has a curved portion 28c and an outflow nozzle 28d. The curved portion has a curved angle 28e such that the lower end is diagonally immersed in the coolant in the suppression chamber, and the outflow nozzle 28d has an outflow opening closed toward the bottom of the suppression chamber.
