ADSL SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING RECEIVE GAIN AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) system for automatically controlling a receive gain and a method therefor are provided to automatically control gain of a gain amplifier according to a change in performance of a system due to tolerance of analog components. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid circuit(300) is connected to a phone line. A transmitter(100) transmits an initialization signal to a telephone line through the hybrid circuit(300). A receiver(200) includes an amplifier for amplifying a signal received through the hybrid circuit(300), and controls gain of the amplifier according to a difference between the size of the initialization signal received through the hybrid circuit(300) for pre-set time and a reference value.
