PROCESS FOR CONSTRAINED SINTERING OF ASYMMETRICALLY CONFIGURED DIELECTRIC LAYERS

PURPOSE: A process for constrained sintering of asymmetrically configured dielectric layers is provided to prepare a low temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC) structure having a large area and no twist. CONSTITUTION: The process for constrained sintering of asymmetrically configured dielectric layers comprises the steps of: laminating an inner constrained tape(102) and a basic tape(101) to form the asymmetrical laminate; attaching a release layer(201) to at least one surface of a laminate forming an assembly wherein the surface is an opposite side of the largest asymmetrical position of the laminated layer; and heat-treating the assembly to obtain a structure for showing a mutual constraint of a contraction in x and y-directions.
