PURPOSE: A sealing device is provided to prevent an unbalance of impedance matching due to foreign substances by protecting a waveguide from foreign substances. CONSTITUTION: An electrodeless lighting system comprises a waveguide(4) having a hollow cylindrical main body(4a), a horizontal fixing surface(4d) contacting the circumference of the main body, and an inlet(4e) penetrating through the center of the horizontal fixing surface; and a magnetron(2) having an output portion(2c) formed at the center of a coupling surface(2d) fixed at the fixing surface of the waveguide, wherein the output portion is fit into the inlet of the waveguide so as to oscillate microwaves in the main body of the waveguide. A sealing device comprises a doughnut type sealing member(20) fit to the outer surface of the output portion of the magnetron and fixed at the coupling surface and the fixing surface of the waveguide in such a manner that foreign substances are prevented from flowing into the waveguide through the inlet.
