PURPOSE: A TV external input mode changing method is provided to directly move to a desired input mode using an OSD(On Screen Display) menu to reduce the number of input keys and a period of time required for inputting the keys. CONSTITUTION: A key for changing an input mode is input to display a list of currently available input modes in the form of OSD menu(501,502). When a user selects a desired input mode from the list of the OSD menu using a key input unit such as a remote control, the current mode is directly changed into the selected input mode(505). The name of each input mode displayed in the OSD menu form is edited by the user. Numeral keys are respectively allocated to the input modes displayed in the OSD menu form, and one of the numeral keys is selected to directly change the current mode into the input mode corresponding to the selected numeral key. |
