PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable silent chain with a damper in which a plurality of links having pairs of link teeth are flexibly connected to each other via pins, and the noise-reduction function is not impaired. SOLUTION: A plurality of resin rings 4 functioning as a damper are fitted between links and freely rotated with a plurality of pins 3 as pivots. An outer circumference of the damper is protruded outward of a link tooth surface 6. When a silent chain is engaged with teeth 7 of a sprocket, the damper is firstly brought into contact with, and partly squeezed to suppress the noise level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
