PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant filter medium in which a nonwoven fabric can be used as a reinforcing material without lowering characteristics of the reinforcing material, and which is excellent in flame retardancy and low in toxicity, and prevents the increase of a pressure loss due to its frame retardation. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant filter medium is obtained by laminating flame-retardant nets containing the electret nonwoven fabric and a flame retardant. At least either one of a warp or a weft of the flame-retardant net has a corrugated structure. Each of the warp and weft is a monofilament consisting of a thermoplastic resin. The filter medium contains 1-15pts.wt. non-halogen flame retardant on the basis of 100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
