<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relative coordinate and movement input device that is configured of an instructing tool to be operated and a fixed part, and for inputting relative coordinates by moving the instructing tool up and down and right and left in an arbitrary direction. <P>SOLUTION: A line sensor in an X direction and Y direction is arranged on an instructing tool, and an arbitrary visible image to be imaged and a reflected image obtained by infrared irradiation are imaged for respective X components and Y components, and imaged waveforms are successively comparatively referred to the first imaged waveform so that the movement of the imaged waveforms can be calculated, and transmitted with on-instructing tool switch information to a fixed side.
