PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straightening method for straightening the camber of a metallic plate by which the camber of the metallic plate is straightened independently of the thinness and the width of the metallic plate, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: A camber straightening device 10 is constituted of a pressing member 24 for pressing the metallic plate 32 from the outside surface 34 of the camber and a elastic member 16 which is pressed against the inside surface 36 of the camber of the metallic plate 32. A ridge line 26 is formed in a direction crossing the camber direction of the metallic plate 32 on the pressing member 24. The metallic plate 32 is held between the ridge line 26 and the elastic member 16, and bent along the ridge line 26.
