<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which has a plurality of information layers and has improved heat radiation characteristic and optical property of information layers other than the information layer farthest from an light incident plane. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium including: a substrate 11; a light transmission layer 13; and an L0 layer 20 and an L1 layer 30 for recording data between the substrate and a protective layer, the data are recorded on the L0 layer or the L1 layer by irradiating the L0 layer or the L1 layer with a laser beam L via the light incident plane 13a of the surface of the optical transmission layer, and the data recorded on the L0 layer or the L1 layer can be reproduced. The optical recording medium is characterized in that the L1 layer different from the L0 layer farthest from the light incident plane among the L0 layer and the L1 layer is provided with: a first L1 recording film 33a; a second L1 recording film 33b; a first dielectric film 34 located on the side of the light incident plane with respect to the first L1 recording film and the second L1 recording film and containing an oxide as a major component and added with nitrogen; and a second dielectric film 32 located on the opposite side of the light incident plane with respect to the first L1 recording film and the second L1 recording film and has a thermal conductivity lower than that of the first dielectric film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
