PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely adjust the Ta (tangential) deviation, without changing the height of a slide base, in adjusting the Ta deviation of the slide base on which a group of optical elements are mounted. SOLUTION: A position adjustment member 70 is mounted on the slide base 10, which always abuts on a main guide bearing holding member 20, whose position can be adjusted in the direction perpendicular to the surface of an optical disk, and which provides the displacement with respect to the slide base 10, in the direction parallel to the surface of the optical disk and perpendicular to the optical head scanning direction, by the adjustment of the position in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the optical disk. By adjusting the position of the position adjustment member 70 in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the disk, only the relative positional relationship between the slide base 10 and the main guide bearing holding member 20 can be adjusted, with respect to the direction parallel to the surface of the optical disk and perpendicular to the optical head scanning direction.
