PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position management system managing whereabouts of a child or the like in each time zone. SOLUTION: A managed person portably carries a portable communication terminal 1 and goes out. In the portable communication terminal 1, positional information of the managed person generated periodically, e.g. every one minute, is transmitted from a radio communication part 13 through a radio base station 2 and the Internet NT together with an ID of the portable communication terminal 1, and is received by a management terminal 3. It is decided whether the received positional information P accords with position schedule information G corresponding to the ID registered in a position schedule information registration part 22 or not, in each the time zone. When a decision result thereof shows discordance, discordance information is generated, is sent out to an electronic mail address of a cellphone 5 or a personal computer 7 via the Internet NT together with the positional information, and is received by the cellphone 5 through a radio base station 4 or is received by the personal computer 7 through a provider 6.
