PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coverlet for the beds which eliminates the bed making and can keep the bed highly comfortable without extra time and labor during the nonuse period along with excellent fashionability as it is and achieves the favorable heat insulating performance during the use. SOLUTION: The coverlet for the beds is made up of the body part thereof which has a size to match the top surface part of the specified roughly rectangular bed and is filled with the downs, a pair of right and left side part drape pieces which are roughly rectangular with the width dimension thereof covering the length of the coverlet part and a part or the whole of the side of the bed, filled with feathers and respectively fixed on both side edge parts of the coverlet and foot drape pieces which are roughly rectangular with the length thereof to match the width of the coverlet and the width dimension covering a part or the whole of the foot side of the bed and filled with the feathers while one long side part thereof is fixed on the foot side rim part of the coverlet and both short side parts thereof can be engaged with the respective foot side rim parts of the side part drape pieces.
