<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a base material from expanding due to a solvent contained in an oil-based ink causing sheet ripples, to prevent blocking, transfer of images on the rear surface of an ink jet recording sheet, and a deterioration in image density and the generation of bleeding of images caused by the transfer of images, in an ink jet recording sheet for the oil-based ink having a base material and an ink receiving layer. <P>SOLUTION: At least one barrier layer is provided between the ink receiving layer and the base material.
