<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an fuel electrode for SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) that contains a ceria-based perovskite type oxide which does not bring about generation of a pyrochlore phase and carbon precipitation that lead to deterioration of the characteristics of the fuel electrode, and deterioration of reaction with carbon dioxide gas, and which has a high electrode performance possessed by the perovskite series oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel electrode is characterized by being made of a cermet of an oxide which is a mixture of a zirconia-based electrolyte material or a ceria-based electrolyte material and a ceria-based perovskite type oxide and a metal. Furthermore, the fuel electrode is characterized in that the surface of the mixture of the electrolyte material and the metal is covered by the ceria-based perovskite type oxide as a fine particle, and the content of the ceria-based perovskite type oxide is 15 wt% or less in the fuel electrode, and after the fuel electrode and the electrolyte are calcined, the ceria-based perovskite type oxide is added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
