<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform the feed-back control of a common-rail pressure by converting an actual common-rail pressure into a value suitable for its control. <P>SOLUTION: The detected value of the common-rail pressure detected by a pressure sensor is read at a crank angle period ▵t of equal to or less than one-half of a pressure feed period ▵T of an at least supply pump. The respective detected values (e.g., S(1), S(0) to S(-4)) from the reading time to before one pressure feed period are averaged at each reading period (e.g, t1). The values (e.g., Pav(1)) obtained thereby are set as the common-rail pressure after the values are averaged of the representative value or the control value of actual common-rail pressure.
