PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent warpage of a woody base due to a shift of the moisture existing in the woody base which is caused by a change in an environmental temperature, and also to reduce a so-called initial warpage which occurs in molding a woody laminate, or others. SOLUTION: The woody laminate is prepared by a method wherein an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin adhesive is applied on a woody base 1a and wherein a paper material 2a and a metal leaf 3a are prepared in the state of a laminated sheet by extrusion lamination with thermal fusion of a polyethylene resin and stuck to the woody base 1a with a polyvinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin primer applied for rustproofing the surface of the metal leaf 3a and improving the adhesion to the ethylene-vinyl acetate polyvinyl chloride copolymer resin adhesive. A paper material 2b and a metal leaf 3b are formed as a laminate for a woody base 1b on the other side in the same method as the above. The individual laminates are prepared respectively by sticking together the paper materials of the woody base 1a/the metal leaf 2a/the paper material 3a and the woody base 1b/the metal leaf 2b/the paper material 3b by an adhesive.
