IGNITION COIL

PURPOSE: An ignition coil is provided to improve the output by increasing the magnetic flux density to the iron core with using the C-cut core, to extend the life span by reducing power loss and preventing deterioration of the coil, and to prevent air pollution from incomplete combustion by improving the combustion ratio of the engine. CONSTITUTION: An ignition coil is used for an engine ignition system, and first and second coils(12,14) are wound on an iron core(10) to apply high voltage of the second coil to the ignition plug. The iron core is formed by stacking the metal sheet of amorphous alloy, and the center of the stacked rectangular core is cut in C-shape. The iron core is divided into a first core and a second core by an insulating material, and the first coil is wound on the first core. The second coil is wound on the first core and the second core, and a third coil is wound on the second core. Heating of the coil is reduced by boosting the input voltage in two stages.
