SOFTWARE DOWNLOADING METHOD OF MOBILE PHONE

PURPOSE: A software downloading method of a mobile phone is provided to easily cope with a download failure of a software program by making a recovery program reside in a ROM separately from a boot program. CONSTITUTION: A terminal is connected to a computer having a tool program and starts downloading(S201). An execution program of the terminal is downloaded to a RAM by using a boot program(S202). The boot program stored in the ROM and data of a free region are deleted(S203). A terminal operation program is downloaded from the computer and stored(S204). It is checked whether a failure occurs while downloading the operation program(S205). If a download failure occurs, a certain special key of the terminal is pressed to power on again(S206). The terminal is connected to the computer again for communication(S207) and a recovery program stored in the ROM starts(S209). The execution program is downloaded again to the ROM(S209).
