Use of granular or dust-like carbonaceous waste material as fuel for anode baking ovens is new. An Independent claim is also included for an anode baking oven having a feed unit for the granular or dust-like carbonaceous waste material, in which the temperature of the oven lies above the ignition temperature of the waste material.
