METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING ARRAY STRUCTURE TABLE FOR MANAGING 2-LAYER FORWARDING TABLE

PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling an array structure table for managing a 2-layer forwarding table are provided to simply and efficiently append/update/delete data with one search by using the first and the second fixed global flag value in case that a size of the table is under a few megabytes. CONSTITUTION: If a data append request is received, a data searcher sequentially searches a table from the first and the last entry(S202). While the search is performing, a basic global variable is searched. In case that the basic global variable is set to 0, a position of the entry in the array is stored to the first global variable and the data is appended to the position(S204). After resetting the basic global variable, the first global variable for storing/managing the position of the array is initialized(S206).
