PURPOSE: A method for preparing a functional rubber is provided, to improve durability, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance by using steel slag nanoparticle powder. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of mixing 0.1-15 wt% of a steel slag nanoparticle powder, preferably blast furnace slag powder with a size of 10-900 nm with rubber ass a filler or a functional additive.
