摘要 Droplets of coolant fluid are injected into the effluent line (11) at a point (P) upstream of the reactor (12), in order to cool the effluents by vaporization of the fluid, before they are introduced into the reactor (12). The injection point is located such that the coolant is completely evaporated before reaching the reactor. The droplets are injected in the direction of effluent flow. They are dispersed as a cone (40) with an included angle alpha less than 20 degrees. The droplets are atomized to a size of 1 mum to 100 mum. The coolant is or contains, water. Effluent temperature is measured at a point T at a set distance Dm from the reactor, and flow is adjusted in accordance with the result. The coolant is heated before introduction. The effluents are circulated where at least some coolant droplets are injected. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding treatment plant
