The electrical contact component consists of a conductor (2) covered by a first plastic constituent element (3), and a separate second plastic constituent element (4, 5, 6). The conductor (2) is pliable, so that the first element can be folded onto the second to make a one-piece contact component. One or both of the constituent elements (i.e. (3) or (4, 5, 6) have a shoulder (8) about which the first element is folded. The two elements (i.e. (3) or (4, 5, 6) are fastened by a system of clip-together projections (7) and cavities (9). In the engaged state, the first element (3) is at an angle of 90 degrees to the second element (4, 5, 6). An Independent claim is given for a process for fabrication of the electrical contact component.
