PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving shock-absorbing capability, durability, especially cutting resistance, cut-through resistance and separation resistance. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire comprises a steel cord S which consists of spiral bodies in which at least one wire is formed in a spiral shape. The outside diameter h of the spiral body, the diameter d of the wire and a pitch p of the spiral body satisfy a relation represented by 3d≤h≤30d and d≤p≤5h. In the spiral body which comprises an oval cross section of which the ratio of a shorter diameter hs to a longer diameter h1 is 0.25 to 0.95, a shorter diameter hs of the spiral body, the diameter d of the wire and the pitch p of the spiral body satisfy the relation represented by 3d≤hs≤30d and d≤p≤5hs.
