METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE BY USING SINGLE COMPONENT MAGNETIC DEVELOPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image by jumping development using a single component magnetic developer (magnetic toner) to form an image, the method by which a favorable image can be formed without causing local decrease in the image density or local fog for a long time by using an inexpensive aluminum developing sleeve. SOLUTION: The method for forming an image is carried out by developing an image while keeping a layer of a single component magnetic developer formed on the surface of the aluminum developing sleeve in a non-contact state from the surface of a photoreceptor where the electrostatic image is formed. The single component magnetic developer used is prepared by externally adding inorganic particles by at least 0.5 wt.% to magnetic toner. Development is carried out under the condition of the surface roughness Rz (JIS B0601) of the aluminum developing sleeve in the range of 5μm
