PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in a neutral position of a steering wheel and straight advance stability of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A fluid reaction generating device 14 is provided to add a reaction to a turning operation of the steering wheel of a driver. The fluid reaction generating device 14 comprises a rotor 42 connected to the steering wheel through a rotating shaft 11 and a housing 41 for housing the rotor 42. The housing 41 is filled with Bingham fluid of non-neutral fluid mixed with magnetic powder, and magnetic field is formed in the Bingham fluid by a coil 44. By friction force of the Bingham fluid to the rotor 42 and change of viscosity of the Bingham fluid by the magnetic field, a steering reaction is controlled. Also, an electric motor is connected to the rotating shaft 11 and the steering reaction is also added by the electric motor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
