PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device which does not require execution of troublesome operations such as connecting with a personal computer or the like by wires when a station is set in a radio communication system. SOLUTION: A setting mode for executing the setting is provided to the station in addition to a communication mode to make normal communications in the radio communication system. The radio communication device makes the normal communications in the following manner. The station sets the station itself by using a signal transmitted from an access point, especially, information included in a beacon to be transmitted in each prescribed time and it is shifted to the communication mode for performing operations as a normal communication apparatus.
