<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative expression search device which can search a quantitative expression without minding the case where the quantitative expression is abbreviated to the prefix alone. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises an input means 1 which inputs a document to be searched or a quantitative expression desired to be searched, a sentence structure analysis means 2 which analyzes the sentence structure in the input document or quantitative expression, an attribute dictionary 4 which stores therein attribute information comprising an attribute name which represents an attribute, an attribute content which indicates the meaning of the attribute and a basic unit for complementing, and unit system information comprising a prefix for determining that an abbreviated expression is present and a multiple number which indicates the meaning of the prefix, a co-occurrence word dictionary 5 which stores therein information comprising an attribute name which represents an attribute and a co-occurrence word for judging the attribute name, and an abbreviation complementing means 3 which complements a basic unit to a prefix in the document or quantitative expression with reference to the analyzed sentence structure and the attribute dictionary 4 or with reference to the co-occurrence word dictionary 5 in addition to these for the input document or quantitative expression, thereby complementing the abbreviated quantitative expression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
