PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein the number of parts increases because a sleeve which is separate from a barrel body of a rocker arm must be used and a separate process for stamping and caulking to fix the sleeve to the barrel body is required. SOLUTION: Since a side wall 8 on one side of the barrel body 3 has a first short side wall 8a and a second short side wall 8b arranged by separating them from each other in the longitudinal direction through a vacant space 14 in a central part in the longitudinal direction, a cylindrical bulging part 20 can be easily formed using a mold having a simple configuration by inserting the mold through the vacant space 14 to perform deep-drawing and making the mold leave the vacant space 14 to perform manufacture when forming the cylindrical bulging part 20. By forming the cylindrical bulging part 20 by only predetermined length, it is unnecessary to provide the sleeve in particular, and the sleeve becomes unnecessary. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
