A funnel apex/tip for folding a material web has an internal cavity from which runs the wall of the air entrance channels passing through the wall of the funnel tip to an outer drive surface (17) narrowing in the direction of the web feed for the material web to be folded. The cavity is divided into several mutually-separated air in-feed chambers (28) for acting with pressurized air at different pressures and in which the drive surface (17) is divided into several drive zones (36), which are joined via the air entrance channels (37) to different air feed chambers (28). An independent claim is also included for a folding device for folding material web.
