PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a new printing cartridge to be used without complicated operations such as the exchange of a storage device in a printer. SOLUTION: A printing system comprises a printer body 200 and a printing cartridge 105 detachably mounted on the printer body 200. The printing cartridge 105 comprises a first storage part 301 which stores a control program for allowing the printer body 200 to execute an operation conforming to the printing cartridge 105.
